The Main Competition

The top performers nationally in the main competition will be invited to the Skillbuild National final, where the winner will receive a unique trophy and a cheque for £1,000! The silver and bronze runners up will receive £500 and £250 respectively.

Test requirements for the main competition are quite challenging.
Competitors are required to bring their own brushes and tools for the following test elements:
• Wallpaper hanging
• Plain painting
• Free brushwork, logos, lettering
Stepladders, paste tables etc will be provided and the tests will be carried out on a 2.2m x 1.2m vertical panel, previously prepared. All decorating materials such as paint, paper etc. will be supplied by Crown Trade.
