Flashing

(Halo effect where 2 edges of paint meet)  Losing the wet edge of the paint during application, trying top "touch up" areas, especially higher sheen paints, but can occur with all paints.

Solution

Re-paint to the nearest whole elevation, ensuring the wet edge is maintained.
