Crown Trade Protective Coatings High Build Micaceous Iron Oxide acts primarily as an intermidiate coat on ferrous metal such as steelwork, fire escapes, railings and gates, providing a barrier against corrosion.  It can also be used as a finish in its own right where a protective coating is required, but aesthetics are not important.
