Whilst the new Crown Trade Historic Colours collection will appeal to anyone interested in interiors and the history of architecture and design, it will have particular relevance to owners and developers of period properties. The collection has been designed in direct response to the needs of discerning customers who are keen to add a touch of historical authenticity to their interior décor, and who perhaps want to recreate, to some degree, the ambience of a bygone era.

The collection charts major design movements, starting with the formality and restraint of Palladian and Neo-Classical, all the way through Regency, Arts & Crafts, Gothic Revival and Victorian Eclectic, to the elegant style of the Art Deco era and the post-war creativity captured by the ‘50’s Sketchbook’ palette.

The colour palettes relating to each of the eight eras are brought together in a new and informative consumer-orientated booklet available free of charge from Crown Trade. The booklet also includes inspirational photography depicting how each of the colour palettes might have been used throughout history

Whilst the 120 colours in the eight colour palettes have been meticulously researched and are steeped in history and tradition, they are all available in decorative finishes formulated for modern day living, as Debbie Orr, Crown Trade Brand Manager explains:
