FOR A QUALITY FINISH THAT SCRUBS CLEAN, TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME…
As one would expect from any premium professional emulsion, Clean Extreme Matt is offered in an extensive range of colours, with White and Magnolia available ready-mixed. In its 2.5 litre and 5 litre can, Clean Extreme looks just like any other high quality matt emulsion and on the wall it delivers an attractive and very smooth matt finish.
However, this is where the similarity with conventional matt emulsion ends because Clean Extreme Matt has been specially formulated to offer exceptional durability, dirt resistance and cleanability. Many marks and stains simply will not penetrate and can be easily wiped away with water alone. Scrubbing with a cloth soon gets rid of tougher soiling, and for more deep-seated stains, scrubbing with a mild detergent will eliminate all traces, without risk of burnishing.
Clean Extreme Matt retains its ‘just painted’ appearance, even after repeated scrubbing, because the amount of paint film sacrificed each time soiling is removed is minimal. In fact Crown Trade has proved that Clean Extreme Matt offers a 400% increase in resistance to wet scrubbing when compared to the loss in paint film thickness of conventional matt emulsion. In trials the new product achieved the very highest rating, Class 1 of ISO 11998, ie, less than 5 microns of paint film thickness was lost after a painted test panel coated was subjected to 200 simulated cleaning cycles on a scrub testing machine.
Kees den Elzen of Crown Trade says: “Because a wall is not only decorated but protected with Clean Extreme Matt, it can be returned to its pristine appearance time and time again by cleaning alone. This means that everyday wear and tear is reduced, the need for costly redecoration is minimised and maintenance cycles can be extended significantly.
“By recommending the use of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Matt in schools, nurseries, offices, hospitals, leisure facilities, factories, and all manner of ‘challenging’ or heavy traffic areas, professional painters and decorators can now offer their clients real added value without compromising on aesthetics or colour choice.”
