A SUCCESSFUL NATIONAL PAINTING AND DECORATING SHOW
Last month we exhibited at the National Painting and Decorating Show at Coventry’s RICOH Arena, together with Crown Decorating Centres. Read on to find out what we packed into two great days.
A Crown Decorating Centre
It’s been a busy year for Crown Decorating Centres, with the launch of our brand new e-commerce website and seven new stores opening plus plans for even more to follow in 2019.
Half of our stand was set up as a fully functioning Crown Decorating Centre, meaning visitors to the show were able to pick up some fantastic deals on a range of handy sundries.
Crown Decorating Centre staff were on stand throughout the show to answer any questions and offer advice on choosing the best products for the job. Visitors were also able to chat with our team about CDC Rewards, the new Crown Decorating Centre Rewards scheme, which gives customers the chance to earn points on every purchase made either online or in store.
Our Fastflow demonstration
Our product trainer Kevin O’Donnell held a masterclass on both days of the show to demonstrate our popular Crown Trade water-based Fastflow range, including Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss and Fastflow Quick Dry Satin.
Kevin demonstrated how to use Fastflow as a complete system in order to get the best results. Our masterclass area attracted a large and interactive crowd on both days of the show. The demonstration perfectly showed how easy Fastflow is to apply, as well as its high quality finish and opacity.
Showcasing our products
In order to showcase our Fastflow range, our stand featured a wooden staircase painted with Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss – giving visitors the chance to see the paint in action. The stand was designed to show how our products can be used around the home, and as well as the staircase, it featured a mini bathroom – complete with a real bath tub!
Those who visited our stand were able to pick up free samples of our Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss, as well as Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt. If you got a sample of either, we’d love to hear what you think once you use them.
Hook a duck
Our hook a duck game proved very popular throughout the show’s two days, taking place at our stand’s ‘bathroom’. Prizes for the game included Crown Decorating Centres water bottles, t-shirts and notepads.
The grand prize was an iPad – with one very lucky winner on each day of the show claiming the top prize. Congratulations to J.W. Decorating from Scarborough and Gary Dawes from Birmingham’s Sandwell College on winning an iPad each.
We’re glad the game was popular and allowed us to meet so many of the show’s visitors.
