Apprentice Decorator of the Year competition heats on hold
As the UK government announces further measures to restrict the spread of COVID-19, our competition manager Kevin O’Donnell has an update on this year’s Apprentice Decorator of the Year competition.
Due to the developing situation with COVID-19 causing college closures and with social distancing measures being implemented across the UK, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that the 2020 Apprentice Decorator of the Year competition heats have been put on hold.
As long-term sponsors of the competition we were looking forward to once again following this year’s crop of talented apprentices on their painting and decorating journey, we are fully supportive of this measure.
We will be working with SkillBuild behind the scenes to ensure that we are able to deliver the best possible Apprentice Decorator of the Year competition, either later this year or further in the future. We will be posting updates here as soon as they are available, so please do keep checking back for further information.
If you have already registered for this year’s competition you will automatically receive updates on the status of the competition and any changes to the plans going forward, so keep an eye out for more information.
In the meantime, why not watch our video from last year’s competition or read our special 40th anniversary yearbook to get some tips from our judges and past competitors ahead of the final at the end of this year.
