New Crown Trade Fastflow Gloss System Sets The Pace For Decorators – Both Inside and Out
The results achieved by decorators testing Crown Trade’s new water-based Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss led to calls for the product to be rolled out into full production as soon as possible!
From first impressions on opening the tin, through to the application process and a review of the finished look – Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss has got the thumbs-up from professionals trialling it out on site.
Now the wait is over, with Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss – complemented by Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat – on sale across the UK.
Crown Paints has invested heavily in research and development to ensure this new product offers the trade the right paint for the job for both indoor and outdoor use – and sets the pace for the future in terms of style, speed, substance and sustainability.
As a result, significant advances have been made in alkyd emulsion technology that ensure excellent coverage and opacity, exceptional flow – and fast-track drying times which enable two coats to be applied in just one day.
Once applied, Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss leaves a stunning, high gloss finish to a standard normally associated with solvent borne paints, and a crisp, white shade that will last for the long term.
Nikki Cosgrove, Crown Trade Brand Manager, said: “Reports from the decorators carrying out the trials were outstanding throughout the whole process.
“Initial thoughts from the testers opening the tin were that looked like a full-bodied product, with no sign of skin or separations.
“They felt Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat flowed well from brush to substrate, with real covering power.
“The application of Crown Trade Fastflow Gloss was also well-received, with the product being described as having a nice, thick feel, which flowed well and offered a bright white finish.
“What was very pleasing was the description from the decorators that it felt like applying an oil-based product, which flowed extremely well over the top of the first coat, with no dragging or pulling, and that it dried very quickly to leave a traditional oil-based wet look.
“Finally, once the application was complete the Crown Trade system was compared with other completed areas on site and the test team felt it gave a much better finish, with a higher sheen level.
“The overall view was that they were really happy and would like to see Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss rolled out into production as soon as possible.”
By using Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss just one product can be purchased for both interior and exterior environments and its speed of application enables project times to be sped-up and labour times to be managed. A variety of pack sizes are also being produced to meet different project requirements.
Crown Paints’ award-winning approach to sustainability has also been utilised as part of the development process.
This means decorators can benefit from exceptional quality and aesthetics – and at the same time reassure clients that the product has been manufactured with consideration to the environment.
Nikki added: “As well as in field tests, we’ve tested Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss extensively in our laboratories and the results and feedback we’ve received all point to the fact that this is an exceptional product, which delivers wide-ranging benefits for decorators looking to switch from solvent-borne products.
“We’ve taken our time to get Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Gloss right – and now we feel we have a product that is above and beyond the standard.”
