Wigan decorator wins Crown’s Key to the Castle
Wigan painter Adrian Melling is celebrating winning the key to a very special door – a Castle no less – courtesy of Crown Trade.
Adrian scooped the top prize in Crown Trade’s ‘Key to the Castle’ competition, launched to mark Crown Paints’ return to the nation’s TV screens as sponsor of ‘Through the Keyhole’ with comedy host Keith Lemon.
Adrian works for his father’s company M and H Painting and Decorating Services in Wigan, which specialises in painting new-build properties across the North West.
He said: “I entered the competition after my dad brought a leaflet back from our local Crown Decorating Centre. I just went online and never thought any more about it.
“The prize is for a stay at a castle of our choice worth up to £1,000. It’s brilliant that I’ve won and I’m now sorting out which castle my girlfriend and I can stay in later this year.”
Nikki Cosgrove, Brand Manager at Crown Trade, said: “We launched this amazing competition to show our support for Crown Paints’ second season of sponsoring the prime-time show ‘Through the Keyhole’. Like the sponsorship itself, the competition proved a huge success.
“It’s great to see a hardworking decorator and a great supporter of Crown Trade win the prize, and we wish Adrian and his girlfriend a very relaxing break.”
